Addressed some emotional words to the Ibero-American legal profession, committed to an institution that began to take shape 41 years ago through the approval of a text that promoted arbitration as a useful instrument for the region.

The new vice president Roberto Fernández del Valle, partner of the Mexican De Cell Number firm Santamarina y Steta, said: “Excited to participate in the promotion of arbitration from an Ibero-American institution”; and Álvaro Sánchez, new deputy secretary general, made the headquarters and offices in San José (Costa Rica) that house the CIAR Presidency available to all partners. Also participating, among other prominent professionals, was Carlos Andreucci , president of the Ibero-American Union of Bar Associations and Groups of Bar Associations, showing his support for the institution.
Javier Íscar promised enthusiasm, effort, and stated that “there is still a lot to do.” He promised to send the project for the next two years to all partners and had words for Héctor Méndez , former vice president of CIAR retired from the Board for health reasons, representing the Argentine Federation of Bar Associations (FACA): “ has been an essential part of the beginning of CIAR", and who was honored during the event with the granting of a plaque in: "Recognition of the firm commitment to the Ibero-American legal space", an act that was received with a standing ovation.
Finally, Javier Íscar highlighted the important role of the Mexican partners who: “have shown to be united and involved with CIAR, a Center that is the sum of all, from Ibero-America to Ibero-America.”

Since its inception, it has been supported by the Ibero-American General Secretariat SEGIB and the support of the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Ibero-American Countries COMJIB; together with business chambers, bar associations and academic institutions from the 21 countries in the region.
