Daintree Networks and Marvell Semiconductor , a provider of smart building wireless control network solutions , are collaborating to integrate open standard ZigBee wireless communications into smart lighting products .
The initial joint effort focuses on using Marvell products to create integrated wireless LED drivers that enable LED luminaires to interface with Daintree 's open standard ControlScope products .
LED driver supplier Orama is the first company to introduce this feature to its driver product line . By introducing built-in wireless LED drivers , luminaire manufacturers no longer need separate wireless adapters commonly used Bulgaria WhatsApp Number in modern commercial wireless lighting control systems . Built-in wireless drivers also make installation easy . Drivers are preinstalled during factory assembly of the device , eliminating the more expensive field assembly typically required when connecting a separate wireless adapter to standard drivers . Daintree said the integration significantly reduces overall hardware, installation and commissioning costs by $ 75 to $ 100 per device , allowing building owners to quickly bring wireless control solutions to market.
Unlike existing analog controls, built-in digital wireless control allows users to add advanced LED control features such as custom white light control and detailed device-level power and performance monitoring .
At Lightfair International ( 23-25 April 2013 ), Daintree and Marvell will showcase complete ZigBee wireless LED lighting control solutions, including the Daintree ControlScope and Orama OCC20W based on the Marvell 88EM8801 LED driver and 88MZ100 wireless device -Z LED driver . microcontroller. Orama 's integrated ZigBee wireless LED driver will be commercially released by the end of the second quarter of 2013 .
In other LED news , PowerSecure International acquired Solais Lighting , which has its own portfolio of LED lights and fixtures for commercial and industrial applications . The acquisition will strengthen PowerSecure's existing LED business by adding product lines and expanding its customer base , while also enhancing its capabilities in product design , product commercialization , manufacturing and materials sourcing . skills. PowerSecure will pay Solais shareholders $ 6.5 million in cash and 675,160 shares of PowerSecure common stock and assume negative working capital of approximately $ 200,000 , for a total transaction value of $ 15 million.
